Lithium Ion batteries are a great way to improve the performance of your xmod. The primary reason is the reduced weight. Lithium Ion batteries are a fraction of the weight of NiCad (regular) batteries. LiIons are used in cellphones, pdas, and cameras. Hold a battery from one of those devices compared to a standard AAA. You will see the weight difference. The are three downsides to Lithium Ion kits. The first is cost. They are much more expensive than regular batteries. Two, they are explosive so you have to be very careful when installing, and be careful if you wreck your xmod to make sure the batteries are ok before you get to close to them. The third thing is that you will need to solder and do some wiring to install them. When you buy then though they will supply instructions for installation.
